Professional driving skills are becoming more important in a world where there is a great value on transportation for economic growth and for the movement of goods and people. However, the process of acquiring this skill isn't inexpensive. It is necessary to be aware of a range of costs, including the cost of training and the test. In the Netherlands the process of obtaining Code 95 may cost as much as 3000 euros. The costs of obtaining this certificate in Poland could be as low at 1500-2000 PLN.

For truck drivers needing the Code 95 certificate is necessary to drive trucks weighing more than 7.5 tons in Europe. The certificate has to be added to a driver's licence category C or C+E, and is valid for five years. It can also be added to the C1 or C1E license which permits the driver to drive trailers with lighter weights.

To get a Code 95 certificate, you must take a medical exam and take a psychotest. After completing the course, you will receive an official plastic Code 95 certificate that can be added to your driving licence. The course fee includes a medical exam, PKZ service and payment for the plastic Code 95 Certificate.


The cost of a Code 95 certificate is similar to the cost of other types of driving classes. It is important to remember that the course must be held at a CBR-approved driving academy. Trainers must adhere to strict CBR guidelines. For example in the event that students are absent from the class, the instructor must inform the CBR immediately.

The trainee must then visit the Road Traffic Safety Directorate and apply for the renewal of their license. The deadline for replacing the licence is six months from the date of the completion of the course. This is to make sure that the driver has the necessary knowledge and competency for driving heavy-duty vehicles. In addition, the driver must also be able to read speed limit and kilometer signs on the road.

Options for training

Code 95 is an indication on your driving license that you have met the requirements for training to operate vehicles and trucks professionally. This is a condition you must meet every five years to renew your work permit. The periodical training of 35 hours can be completed at a driving school or at home using online learning. The course can be divided over a five-year period. Your employer may pay for the courses.

There are two kinds of instruction for Code 95: the long course and the short course. The long course lasts for about four weeks and concludes with a government exam. After passing the exam, you can receive an electronic card. The card must be submitted to the unified European certificate database. The institution where you took your classes will submit the card to the database. It will take 14 days to process the card.

The course will cost you around 2,000 PLN and the exam costs 300 PLN. You'll need to pay an additional fee to the school for them to upload your certificate to the unification European database. After the card is issued and you are able to pick it up from the school.

To be able to offer an educational course that is able to issue Code 95, you must follow certain protocols as trainer. First you must submit a training program to the CBR. The plan must be approved by the CBR prior to classes begin. You will also have to follow other strict procedures throughout the training.

Once you have successfully completed the course, you will receive a certification of ongoing training from the CBR. Then, you can send it to the RDW. You can then renew your license with the municipality after submitting successfully. If you don't renew your license by the expiry date you won't be able to drive professionally for more than 12 hours per week. If you plan to drive more than 12 hours a week, you'll have to enroll in a new course.

Exams

To obtain the code 95 designation on your license, you must pass both theoretic and practical tests. These tests can be completed separately or together with the acquisition of the basic category license at a driving school. If you pass the tests, you will receive a certificate and code 95 card. The card is valid only for five years and has to be renewed prior to the expiration date.

You can choose between either a short or a lengthy course for the exam code 95 depending on the course of study. The long course is about four weeks long and ends with a test administered by the government. In this exam, you are asked to answer 30 questions regarding the topics covered in your classes.

You must complete a minimum of 35 hours of regular training every five years following passing the code 95 examination. This can be done in the country where you live or work. The regular training is conducted by an instructor. The CBR has an online tool to find the teacher. Once you have completed the training you will be awarded a certificate from your teacher and the CBR. The CBR will notify the RDW of your successful completion.

You must also have a digital tachograph in vehicles that weigh more than 3,500kg. The tachograph tracks driving time and breaks, and saves these on a tachograph. To operate a truck you need the driver's licence C. This is the largest driver's licence in Europe. You must also undergo an exam for medical conditions.

Requirements

This is a mandatory step for truckers who want to work in the Netherlands. The new licence style for trucks and busses was introduced in 2011. This is a laminated card similar to the European driving licence card, with the bearer's photo as well as their name (in Latin and Cyrillic scripts), place/date of issue as well as categories that are allowed and signature.
